The sequel is no exception, and with the game taking place in Osaka, expect to see a lot of famous landmarks that you would spot if you ever visited the city.

For example, during his first trip to the Kanto area, Kiryu and his companion walk down a street and spot a giant mechanical crab that marks the entrance to a rather famous restaurant.

If you happen to visit Osakas Namba district, youll find that very crab just five minutes from the train station.

Despite the name change - the real life name is Shinsaibashi but its different in the game - the resemblance is uncanny and only makes the experience that more authentic.

If it was even possible, compared to the first game, RGG2 has even more to do while exploring your new digs.

You can check out the local hostess clubs and talk to some of the fine ladies of the game, visit the batting cages for a couple of practice swings and so on.

With the sequel, you can also run your own host club, where girls actually come to you and pay you to talk to them.

As someone who lives in Japan, this is the equivalent of watching a movie with product placements; its not a necessity in the game, but it does give players a sense of connection that they normally wouldnt feel.

The production values do seem higher, due to said product placement, Im assuming.

The cutscenes have better camera work overall, and just about every cutscene is voice acted, and not everyone speaks Japanese either.

Your standard punches, throws and weapons are still present from the first game, but you can now change your direction in mid-fight, making it easier to avoid the gang-ups that happened in the first game.

Of course, this means that the AI is a lot more aggressive during fights.
